Massimo Pigliucci, PhD, University of Connecticut (1994). Evolutionary ecology, genotype-environment interactions (phenotypic plasticity) and genetic constraints. His research uses a variety of approaches including field work, manipulation experiments in the greenhouse or growth chambers, and studies of mutants. Click here for email, or go to his web page

Dan Simberloff, PhD, Harvard University (1969). Invasion biology, community composition and structure, keeping Stuart Pimm on track. Click here for email, or go to his web page.

Jake Weltzin (the big guy in the picture), PhD, University of Arizona (1998). Population, community, and ecosystems ecology. His research is focused on the identification of biotic and abiotic constraints on plant populations and communities, and on the structure and function of ecosystems, under both current and potential future environments.  Interests include plant invasions, constraints on ecotones, and impacts of climate change on communities and ecosystems.  Click here for email, or go to his web page.
